Purpose of Role
To drive new business growth for Charles Heidsieck across UK & Ireland, by identifying and converting high-potential sales opportunities to in turn increase volume, distribution, visibility, and margin for the brand.
Please note, this role is UK based with regular travel, including bi-monthly visits to our head office in Clapham, London.
About the role
- Work alongside Liberty Wines UK and Ireland sales teams to achieve Charles Heidsieck volume and distribution targets in the premium on-trade and independent off-trade by winning new listings in existing Liberty Wines customers and opening new accounts
- Create and present commercial proposals to secure new listings and increase market share
- Increase volume in existing customers through proactive support (training, incentive, activation, etc.) that deliver strong return on investment
- Act as a brand ambassador for Charles Heidsieck, ensuring strong visibility and representation across target channels/regions. Represent the brand at Liberty Wines and industry events, engaging with key stakeholders to reinforce brand positioning and commercial opportunities
- Provide input into the brand/event/trip planning process to ensure that this is aligned with your commercial development plan, strengthens the appeal of Charles Heidsieck to potential customers and deepens partnerships with existing accounts
- Prepare monthly commercial reports as required
About you
- Previous wine/champagne Sales experience
- Able to develop new business opportunities to meet Charles Heidsieck volume targets
- Self-motivated with a positive outlook and excellent communication skills
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan your time well
- Good wine knowledge, preferably at least WSET Level 3
- IT proficient including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Drivers Licence and car required
- Reasonable level of champagne category knowledge required
