The main job responsibilities
- Generating sales in a proactive manner
- Advising our customers on the best product for their requirements and ideal food matches
- Encouraging customers through store-specific events, offers and our loyalty scheme
- Working alone with confidence or efficiently as part of a team
- Merchandising the shop floor and window displays
- Ensuring accurate stock management and stock taking
- Implementing and understanding promotions
- Ensuring that the store is clean and tidy at all times
- Attending training sessions when required
- Responsible retail – learning the company code of conduct, health and safety best practices, alcohol sales law and taking a personal license exam
The ideal candidate will have
- Sales or other retail experience
- Great customer service skills
- Some wine and spirits knowledge and the willingness to learn more
- A can-do attitude and the ability to solve problems under pressure
- The ability and willingness to work alone or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
- Basic computer literacy
- Lots of enthusiasm for the drinks industry
- The right to work within the UK
