Main Purpose

Part of the sales support for the Off Trade National Accounts Team National Account Managers (NAM) both internally and externally.

Key Aims and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting National Account Managers with day-to-day account management
  • Working closely with National accounts support team
  • Completion of new listing forms from customers working with the National Account Support Team
  • Collating information from producers and marketing teams
  • Collation and request of samples from producers or warehouse to customers awards press and tenders, working with the National Account Support Team
  • Request New vintage samples to buyers
  • Monitoring and working on customer web sites
  • Control and update of Brand Bank
  • Collating and analysis of customer sales out data from web sites ie Morrisons, Waitrose etc.
  • Creation of ad hoc sales reports
  • Collation of information on competitors and customers.
  • Keeping product data base up to date from customer wine lists and web sites
  • Dealing with adhoc customer information requests
  • Support National account team with tastings and tasting Sheets
  • Work with National Accounts team to smoothly onboard new customers.
  • Critical paths for new product launches
  • To provide support in preparing quotations and proposals for new potential customers
  • Attend Customer meetings as required.
  • Monitor Customer reserve trackers
  • Monitor vintage changes working alongside National Account Support Team
  • Attend generic tastings, consumer tastings, ie Waitrose winter food and drinks festival or Majestic Manager/consumer tastings
  • Be a customer contact when NAMβ€˜s are unavailable
  • Work with NAM on Customer Gap analysis through Store Visits and Knowledge gaps
  • Input into customer account plans
  • Helping plan customer visits
  • In time account manage smaller National Off trade accounts
  • Help collate customer presentations

Experience & Qualifications

  • Microsoft NAVision experience preferable
  • Experience of Commercial sales experience at NAE level or internal sales management
  • Experience of cross functional working both internally (inter-department and with suppliers) and externally.
  • Ideally WSET Level 3
  • Experience of FMCG disciplines.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Full Driving licence, ideally clean
