Wine&Earth are a rapidly growing, acclaimed wine merchant with a focus on the trade market. Based in Guildford, weβre looking to grow its business development team with a On Trade Sales Manager, responsible for Hampshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
With 70+ trade clients its an exciting time to be joining the company. Certified as a B-Corp, in recognition of the work weβre doing to be a business which is a force for good in the world. We have a growing portfolio of 320 wines, from around 90 producers around the world. The company is forward thinking and dynamic and looking for a like-minded person.
Key Tasks:
- Demonstrate a clear strategy to grow trade sales by winning new accounts and up-selling existing clients.
- Manage your own workload and pipeline.
- Be seen as a role model within the sales team and the wider business.
- Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the on-trade market.
Person Specification:

- Proven trade sales experience within the wine industry.
- Experience of working to targets.
- Confident with the ability to βclose the dealβ.
- Technology savvy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Full knowledge of the sales process and ability to deliver.
- Experience in delivering client focused solutions based on customer needs.
- Attention to detail and customer service.
- Target orientated.

- Existing contacts in the wine/trade industry.
- WSET qualifications or a solid knowledge of wine.
