Wine Bar/Lounge Manager
We have an exciting Opportunity for a Wine Bar Manager, at a new unique venture in Jesmond called Angel’s Share . With a planned opening date end of April beginning of May we are keen to start our search for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as Wine Bar/Lounge Manager.
There is nothing like this venue in Newcastle and due to its uniqueness we are looking for a special manager. Angels Share will be the place to enjoy and share a glass of wine or two with friends accompanied by a selection of small plate and sharing boards. We aim to create a warm and welcoming venue that will become part of the Jesmond community as a great place to meet in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with Friends and family, the perfect place to sit, drink and eat lite bites.
As the flagship location for a new venture, we are looking for a Wine Bar Manager to take the lead in delivering an outstanding experience for our customers. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for wine, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in hospitality.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Strong wine knowledge, ideally WSET Level 2 or higher, with the ability to confidently recommend and pair wines.
• At least 10 years experience in hospitality with 5 of those years experience in wine bar management
• A personable and approachable individual who makes customers feel welcome and valued.
• A strong business manager with experience in driving sales, managing stock, and overseeing daily operational aspects.
• Fully conversant with the compliance requirements required by EHO, HSE and who has the ability to manage the site in accordance with those obligations.
• Skilled in training and team development, ensuring staff are knowledgeable and engaged, good with customers and focussed on delivering quality service to all.
• Committed to delivering the high expectations of owners Daren and Kate Knipe, maintaining exceptional service and presentation standards. It is imperative that the new manager shares the vision and can work alongside Daren and Kate.
