HIRING: Wine Sales (& Marketing?) Guru for Renegade Urban Winery

This will be our first ever hire for someone covering the sale of our wines to the wider world. We have grown organically over the last 9 years (founded in 2016) but it's time to put a little fuel on the fire.

As we ramp things up, increase production and look to launch a new range of more affordable wines, we need some help telling the good people of the UK what we have available and showing them the wines. We've added marketing as it's very linked and having that skill set would be awesome too but not necessarily essential.

We are looking for someone with good experience, a track record of selling to, looking after and being part of the UK wine (London mainly but more would be great) scene. Predominantly focusing on the on-trade but experience in the off-trade, export, D2C, FMCG would be ace too.

Sales will be the focus, but hell, if this person is amazing at marketing, social media, loves hosting events, wants to help out with some bits of winemaking, and can add value to the business in other areas, we won't say no. In fact having a core skill but being willing to get involved in lots is key. We are a small business, but growing.

This person needs to be self starter, someone with confidence, connections, drive, desire and a love for wine and the industry.

Experience wise, we're open-minded but we need someone who wants to be part of building something from an early stage. Knows the grind, knows how small businesses work, knows we're a challenger brand, knows we're different and can take the lead in being part of something great. This may mean they have 2 yrs wine sales experience or 8+ yrs running a team and covering different markets and spaces. They just need to know sleeves need to be rolled up. We do not have fancy systems in place - yet!

As such, salary/benefits is an open discussion based upon who fancies being part of the future of British wine.

Come on down...
