We are looking for an Assistant Brewer/Cellar Person to work with our Brewmaster creating amazing beer.
Grass Valley Brewing Company is a craft brewery, taproom and kitchen. We are located in the Sierra foothills 1 hr. north of Sacramento, CA. We have a 15 BBL 3 vessel system and HLT, 5- 30bbl fv , 3-15bbl fv, 2- 30 bbl BBT, and 2-15 BBT.
We can extensively, and are constantly growing and adapting to the ever changing world of craft beer . We are looking for someone with experience on the brew deck and beyond. Motivated and innovative mind set, flexible with on the fly changes, good communication and a friendly attitude.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and filling kegs, working on the canning line, performing cellar checks and actions, maintaining inventory of kegs/cans/tanks, CIP fermenters and brite tanks, transferring and carbonating beer, yeast management and assisting on brew days.
Requirements for the position:
-comfortable on your feet for 8 plus hours, ability to lift 55lbs over your head and maneuver 160lb objects regularly, comfortable with climbing and working on ladders, strong initiative, critical thinking skills and multi-tasking. Great attention to detail with a safety mindset, comfortable working in hot, cold and wet conditions, passionate about beer, experience operating a forklift. MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER!
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
