Bonobo Winery is looking for an enthusiastic person with an interest in food & wine to join our culinary team. Applicants must be skilled in all areas of the kitchen including food prep, plating, service, dishwashing, etc. and be comfortable in a fast paced environment.

The culinary team is responsible for prepping, preparing, cooking, garnishing etc for small plates service, private dining and special events. This also includes dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen and equipment. This person will also lead kitchen operations in Kitchen Manager/Chef's absence.

Weekends are a must. Experience with prepping and cooking for events is preferred. Some long evenings are required. The position is temp/PT to start with the potential for full time/year round employment. Wage is hourly, dependent on experience, plus tips.

Requirements:

  • Good culinary and knife skills, including knowledge of basic food preparation, classic cooking styles and techniques.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a position where you excelled in the kitchen.
  • Experience in a high-volume food establishment.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulations regarding food safety and health code regulations.
  • Assisting with effective inventory control.
  • Helping to maintain regular and thorough cleaning procedures and schedules for all kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Safe equipment operation and regular maintenance.
  • Strong commitment to excellence, positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow in an exciting environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • ServSafe Certification required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
