Events Manager at Balletto Vineyards

Balletto Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery with nearly five decades of farming history in Sonoma County. Located in the Russian River Valley, Balletto farms estate vineyards distinguished by rolling terrain, coastal fog, and a cool climate ideal for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The winery is grounded in family, sustainability, community, and meticulous stewardship of the land.

Balletto Vineyards is seeking an experienced Events Manager to drive event sales and lead the planning and execution of exceptional wine country experiences across its properties.

This highly visible role manages the full event lifecycle, including business development, property showings, proposals, contract negotiations, event planning, vendor coordination, staffing, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up. The Events Manager will be responsible for increasing bookings and revenue while strengthening Balletto Vineyards’ reputation as a premier event destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell and book event space, managing inquiries through contract close.
• Build referral relationships with planners, caterers, vendors, and community partners.
• Negotiate contracts, establish pricing, and identify revenue opportunities.
• Plan and execute weddings, corporate functions, private gatherings, trade events, and wine club experiences.
• Develop banquet event orders, timelines, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Source and manage vendors, suppliers, event staff, and volunteers.
• Direct event setup, execution, troubleshooting, breakdown, and venue reset.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach, and supervise event staff.
• Manage event budgets, financial reconciliation, reporting, calendars, and client records.
• Ensure every event delivers exceptional hospitality and a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant experience in events, hospitality, wine, food service, or a related industry.
• Proven success in event sales, business development, negotiation, and budgeting.
• Experience leading and developing event or hospitality staff.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, point-of-sale systems, and event management platforms.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
