Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Tasting Room Educator

HOURS: Full-time; Weekend availability is required. This position requires availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays.

WE ARE: artisans, farmers, wine geeks, tequila lovers, world travelers, nerds, surfers, outdoor enthusiasts, music lovers, fast-talkers, storytellers, not uptight, and more than anything - passionate winemakers.

YOU ARE: awesome, a go-getter, detail-oriented, knowledgeable, music-loving, driven, reliable, creative, and more than anything - a great person. And you love working on a team of other great people.

Aaron Wines has been operating since 2002. Our small, 4,000-case winery is located in the heart of Tin City in Paso Robles, CA. Our team works together to put out some of the best wines our area can produce, making nervy whites and Pinot Noir from the San Luis Obispo Coast, as well as a range of powerful reds from the best vineyards on the Westside of Paso Robles.

We are looking for a full-time employee to join our fun and hardworking team. This is a dynamic role, and while primarily focused on customer service, it also involves a range of other tasks as would be expected in a small winery team. This role is ideal for someone who loves hospitality but is also excited to contribute to brand visibility, customer engagement, storytelling, and the behind-the-scenes operations that help a small winery thrive. We dish out good vibes and great wines 7 days a week in our tasting room.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Show up each day stoked and ready to pour wine and positively interact with customers.

o Develop an in-depth knowledge and passion for our winemaking, story, vision, and brand.

o Know how to be professional, detail-oriented, and serious about the wines we make, while still being awesome.

o Present and pour wines with genuine enthusiasm, creating memorable experiences for our customers.

o Know how to work independently and with a team, have a good head on your shoulders, and make good decisions.

o Build connections with our customers through tastings, phone, and our company’s text message services.

o Work with the team on tasting room metrics with a focus on meeting sales goals.

o Develop intimate knowledge of POS (Commerce7), reservation software (Tock), and text message service (RedChirp).

o Additional back-of-house tasks such as order fulfillment, tasting room maintenance and upkeep, stock and inventory management.

o Contribute to on-site and off-site events as needed.

o Social media experience is a bonus. We love team members who enjoy helping tell our story by assisting in content creation.

o Creative thinkers who enjoy contributing ideas for customer experiences, marketing initiatives, and brand storytelling are encouraged to apply.

o As a small winery that thrives on creativity, candidates can expect to contribute to a wide range of activities, and there is opportunity for growth and involvement in more areas of sales & marketing.

o Must be able to lift 40lbs.

We believe in playing to people's strengths, so once we get to know you, we want to make sure we leverage your talents! This role has room for additional opportunity and development over time. As a tight-knit, small winery team, we believe in education, growth, fun, and hard work.
