Skipstone Group Sales and Events Manager

Job status: Full time

Skipstone is a luxury boutique winery located between the towns of Healdsburg and Geyserville

producing a collection of wines from our estate vineyard. 2026 is a significant year for Skipstone,

marking the opening of our new winery on the estate. This incredible addition to our existing

operations at our estate, including The Residence at Skipstone (our private villa rental), offers growing

potential for our group and corporate activity and we are looking to add one person to our close-knit

team focused on driving this part of our business.

The primary focus of this role is to be the primary individual responsible for driving group visitation

and private event revenue. The role consists of sales pipeline management, business and partnership

development, and event coordination. Skipstone is a growing business and as such, this role will grow in scope and responsibility over the coming years. Our ideal candidate has customer-facing experience, is highly detail oriented, is a capable problem solver, and is able to work efficiently without direct supervision.


General Accountabilities

• Guides the overall direction and strategy for marketing, selling, and executing the group and events

business for the winery and Residence at Skipstone.

• Sells group experiences at Skipstone, including group bookings at The Residence at Skipstone,

group wine tastings, lunches, dinners, and other activities.

• Actively prospect for new business through outreach and partnerships with corporate clients,

travel agencies, event planners/DMCs, and private individuals.

• Develop ongoing strategy for achieving monthly and annual sales targets for group bookings

and private events.

• Create and present custom proposals and negotiate contracts and pricing within the bounds of

business model and brand standards.

• Serve as primary point of contact from initial inquiry through post-event follow up for all group

activities.

• Executes event planning, vendor coordination, and is the on-site leader during events and group activities.

• Design bespoke experiences and coordinate all logistics for events and group activities.

• Represent the winery at trade shows, industry events, and more.

• Perform any other pertinent duties requested by the Skipstone General Manager and Skipstone

Estate Director to operate and grow the group and corporate sales channel.


Position Requirements

• Wine industry or luxury hospitality experience is not a requirement but is beneficial to quickly

come up to speed on the position.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a luxury hospitality setting.

• Must be 21 years of age.

• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

• Ability to work flexible hours during event days.• Ideal candidates have an established network of travel planners, corporate event managers, and
