Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and have a high attention to detail. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for vineyards. This role requires hands-on experience with both hand tools and power tools, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality service.
Duties
- Install and maintain irrigation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation issues, including leaks, broken pipes, and malfunctioning components.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installation and repair tasks.
- Dig trenches for irrigation lines and build necessary structures to support the system.
- Follow direction of vineyard manager to ensure proper watering schedules are followed.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Ability to dig trenches, build structures, and perform physical labor as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
