Key Job Functions and Responsibilities:
β’ Able to drive up to 53 feet trailers
β’ Operate all bottling line equipment including filler, corker, screwcapper, capsule dispenser, spinner, labeler, taper, etc.
β’ Complete or oversee all pre-bottling setup and sanitation.
β’ Perform and record Quality Assurance tests on wine and packaging throughout bottling.
β’ Perform preventative maintenance on bottling equipment.
β’ Supervise hourly bottling employees to ensure quality and consistency of work being performed.
β’ Use technical experience to troubleshoot, adjust, and repair bottling equipment.
β’ Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
β’ Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team memberβs safety.
β’ Identify, analyze and resolve issues affecting production.
β’ Provide leadership and expertise to the bottling department in concert with other facility functions to manufacture finished goods that meet company objectives in quality, volume, and timing.
β’ Ensure the bottling process is as efficient and safe as possible.
β’ Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of all bottling equipment.
β’ Record keeping, logging, inventory of parts and supplies.Β Β
Job Requirements:
β’ Strong Customer Service and Satisfaction skills and understanding.
β’ Understanding and aptitude that 10 to 12-hour days are normal.
β’ Pro-active, self-motivated, and displays leadership qualities.
β’ Understanding of Sterilization and its impact on the bottling process.
β’ Knowledge of Sparging, Filling, Corking, Foil Spinner application, Screw Capping, Label Application (pressure sensitive) and packing.
β’ Ability to problem solve.
β’ Knowledge of how to bubble point.
β’ Knowledge of wine hose sterilization.
β’ Understanding the effects of oxygen pick-up and appropriate levels.
β’ Understanding, implementing, and maintaining high quality standards for the customers finished products.
β’ Ability to effectively communicate to Winery Staff, TIOB Staff, and others our specifications, expectations, and what can be expected from our services in any given situation.
Minimum Qualifications:
β’ Class A driverβs license a plus
β’ Strong Maintenance, Mechanical, and Electrical background.
β’ At least two years of experience in bottling wine.
β’ At least one yearsβ experience operating a label applicator (Pressure sensitive preferred and specifically rotary and vacuum equipment: i.e. Impresstik).
β’ Able to drive a forklift.
β’ 21+ years of age.
β’ Valid California driverβs license
β’ Bilingual skills in Spanish is a plus, but not necessary
