Senior Accountant at Noisy Water Winery

Noisy Water Winery is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing, family-owned winery in beautiful Ruidoso, New Mexico.

This is a key position within our finance and accounting team, with the long-term goal of bringing more of our accounting functions in-house. We're looking for someone who is experienced, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working with the complexities of a vertically integrated business.

What You'll Do

● Manage and improve accounting processes across multiple locations and business classes

● Lead winery/manufacturing costing from production through sale

● Oversee AP/AR, bank reconciliations, COGS, inventory transfers, and month-end close

● Assist with budgeting and financial planning

● Manage sales tax, alcohol tax, and other multi-state filings and compliance

● Maintain asset, depreciation, loan, and property records

● Help identify and implement technology and automation that improves accounting accuracy and efficiency

● Eventually support additional entities under common ownership

What We're Looking For

● Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field

● Strong senior-level accounting experience

● Experience with manufacturing, inventory, costing, and/or vertically integrated businesses

● Winery, beverage, or CPG accounting experience strongly preferred

● QuickBooks Online experience; QBO certification preferred or ability to obtain certification after hire

● CPA or CMA preferred

● Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently

● Comfortable learning and utilizing technology, automation, and AI tools

Experience with Ramp, QuickBooks Online, Commerce7, InnoVint Finance, and Google Workspace is a plus.
