The Boat Tasting Room: The River is coming to The Lake! Wood Boat Brewery of Clayton, NY is bringing a tasting room of their favorites to you. “The Boat” will feature a selection of craft beverages from Wood Boat Brewery along with other popular Clayton made products like Saint Lawrence Spirits, Coyote Moon Winery and Northern Flow Winery. The Boat Tasting Room is located across from the Olympic Center on Main Street. In its second location, Wood Boat Brewery is excited to expand and share these beverages crafted in the Clayton area with its new Lake Placid family.

Full Job Description

Get in on the ground floor of this exciting adventure. "THE BOAT" Craft Beverage Tasting Room is looking for people with a passion for the craft beverage industry. Applicants will be doing tastings and serving craft beer, wine, and spirits while talking with the patrons about them. The right applicant will be skilled in customer service, creating an friendly atmosphere guests will want to return to. Wages based on experience + tips. All positions available. Looking to hire an associate ASAP and willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve craft beverages
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Have knowledge of craft beverages being served and be able to explain them to customers
• Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to guests
• Listen to guests’ preferences and recommend beverages they might enjoy
• Input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system·
• Check identification to verify guests are of legal age to purchase alcoholic beverages
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Handling bar setup, stocking, organization, and cleanliness
• Making sure company policies and standards are adhered to
• Other duties as requested

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
