Tasting Room Associate (Muenster) at 4R Ranch Winery

$22 to $30 per hour (wage + tip-share) MINIMUM OF $22 PER HOUR GUARANTEED

PART TIME SHIFTS BETWEEN THE OPERATING HOURS OF 2pm to 8 pm Saturdays.

As a Salesperson/Server, at 4R Tasting Room – your number one focus is The Best Customer Service Ever. Big Smiles, Positive Attitude and a genuine interest in every customer experience. Your style is fun but professional. You have confidence and are comfortable engaging and educating customers about wine & food and how one can elevate the other.

Unlike other server positions, this is a Sales Position. You are our ambassador. You explain 4R Ranch & Winery to each and every guest, you conduct wine tastings, sell wine club memberships as well as glasses and bottles of wine that match each customer’s palate.

It is not a passive customer service/sales job but rather proactive, sales via first class customer service position.

Because we are membership driven, many of our most loyal customers will visit multiple times a week. That is why we like to create that “Cheers Environment” where everybody knows your name. Position responsibilities

• Sell and perform wine tastings that lead to Wine Club Memberships and/or bottle purchases
• Run your assigned stations with grace and attention to every last detail
• Educate customers on our wines and how to elevate their enjoyment of wine in general
• Make every customer feel welcome and important
• Practice responsible alcohol service at all times.
• Accurately record and charge our guests for every single item.
• Process all transactions completely and with integrity.
• Wash and hand dry wine glasses and maintain a clean station/section at all times.
• Support your peers by running food and drinks; bussing and sanitizing tables; and greeting guests.
• Quickly complete opening and closing duties each shift ensuring you and your peers are set for success.
• Manage running side work efficiently.
• Follow all policies and processes communicated by your Manager.
• Provide accurate availability; check schedule regularly and have consistent attendance.

Skills and abilities

• The ability to communicate clearly with guests and fellow Team Members.
• The ability to memorize, absorb and communicate basic wine tips, facts and philosophies about wine.
• The ability to handle and carry 40lb cases of wine.
• The ability to place orders in our Wine Direct POS system and accurately handle payment methods.
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands for your time and attention.
