A dynamic, family-run Paso Robles winery is seeking a hospitality experienced professional to join their team as Tasting Room Manager. The position requires a detail-oriented, adaptable, and friendly individual ready to collaborate with a small, cross-functional team. The Tasting Room Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations, Tasting Room team management, guest services, and overseeing of wine sales.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on management of tasting room service and operations with attention to detail, organization, cleanliness, and efficiency
- Deliver and ensure exceptional customer experiences that matches the values of the winery
- Oversee reservations and communications from guests
- Uphold and demonstrate company policies and values to create a healthy team environment
- Hire, direct, and schedule Tasting Room team members
- Develop team members’ wine and brand knowledge with regular training and meetings
- Collaborate with other departments and upper management to create compelling experiences and sales plans for the Tasting Room
- Monitor goals and sales growth with reporting
- Oversee inventory management and reconciliation with monthly counts, bi-weekly transfers, and inputting of new skus
- Manage day-to-day sales including wine club, online, and shipping orders
- Balance cash register and deposits
- Facilitate the upkeep and maintenance of the Tasting Room
Requirements
- 21+ years of age
- 2+ years of Hospitality Management Experience, preferably in the wine industry
- RBS Certification
- Passion for Hospitality and Providing an Exceptional Guest Service
- Ability to Respectfully Direct a Team
- Enthusiasm for Collaborating with Owners and Other Managers
- Outstanding Communication Skills
- Punctual and Ability to be a Self-Starter
- Can-do Attitude
- Strong Computer Literacy and POS Experience
- Meticulous Organizational Skills with Strong Attention to Details

- Available to work evenings, weekends, events and some holidays
- Ability to lift and carry wine
- Must be able to stand on multiple surfaces during a shift, as well as move from one space to another including indoor and outdoor locations
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders to assist in event set up and inventory management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
