Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Winemaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, particularly in winemaking processes. This role involves overseeing the production of wine from grape selection to bottling, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the entire process. The Winemaker will collaborate with various teams to maintain operational efficiency and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Duties

  • Manage the entire winemaking process, including fermentation, aging, blending, and bottling.
  • Conduct regular quality control assessments to ensure product meets established standards.
  • Collaborate with vineyard managers to select grape varieties and monitor harvest conditions.
  • Maintain compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) protocols.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management and packaging of finished products.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
  • Fabricate necessary equipment or tools as needed for production processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in winemaking techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in winemaking or a related field within the food industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is preferred for warehouse tasks.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with craft beer production is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
