Position Title: Winery Chef
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried
We are looking for a passionate, creative, and entry-level Winery Chef. This position plays a vital role in shaping the guest experience through thoughtful food and wine pairings, curated event menus, and day-to-day kitchen operations.
As the Winery Chef, you will be responsible for developing seasonal offerings, and supporting a variety of public and private winery events. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary-minded individual who thrives in a dynamic, hospitality-focused environment and appreciates the synergy between food and wine.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary & Menu Development
- Create and implement food pairings for the tasting room that enhance the wine-tasting experience.
- Develop weekly menus for Saturday specials and seasonal offerings.
- Design and execute custom menus for signature winery events such as:
- Jazz in the Vineyards
- Violins in the Vineyards
- Salmon Bake
- Girls’ Night Out
- Private wine dinners and more.
Kitchen Operations
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized kitchen, dish area, and food storage pantry.
Procurement & Inventory
- Order and procure food and tasting room supplies.
- Coordinate timely pickups and deliveries as needed.
Garden Oversight
- Maintain the winery’s culinary gardens, ensuring availability of fresh herbs and produce.
Event Support & Collaboration
- Work closely with the winery events team to plan and execute food service for all winery-hosted events.
- Ensure seamless coordination and presentation of food at all functions, both small and large-scale.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an chef, preferably in a winery, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of food and wine pairing principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Knowledge of farm-to-table and sustainable cooking practices is a plus.
- Passion for culinary arts and a strong appreciation for wine culture.
