Position Overview:

We’re looking for a reliable, team-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our tasting room crew. This role supports our kitchen operations with food prep, light cooking, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and compliant work environment. If you love working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly — and enjoy a beautiful winery setting — we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble charcuterie boards and prepare light fare such as flatbreads and baked goods
• Assist with food prep in accordance with kitchen needs
• Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized kitchen at all times
• Follow all Michigan food safety and sanitation requirements
• Support front-of-house staff with bar backing or running food when needed
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless guest experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior kitchen or prep experience is a plus
• ServeSafe certification is helpful but not required — we’ll train the right person
• Willingness to assist outside of the kitchen during slower hours
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, punctual, and positive attitude
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
