Overview

Two K Farms Cidery and Winery is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to assist and support the Winemaker in the production of high-quality wine and cider!

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including forklifts, to facilitate the movement of materials within the cellar.
  • Sanitate all equipment and work areas to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocols to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Assist in the packaging of finished products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities and report any discrepancies or concerns to management.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to work long hours during harvest and busy times of the year.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operation of the winery and will perform a wide range of tasks – from processing fruit, through fermentation, to finishing, maturing, and bottling/canning product.
  • Operate cellar equipment including but not limited to pumps, presses, crusher/de-stemmer, plate and frame filters, and/or cross-flow filtration.
  • Moving, racking, blending, and bottling/canning product.
  • Filling, emptying, and topping oak barrels and casks.
  • Sanitation and cleanliness of tanks, hoses, pumps, and winery equipment.
  • Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and tractor.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor and owners.

Experience

  • Previous experience in the food industry or fermentation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
