Vineyard Worker at Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards

Lakeridge Winery in Clermont is looking for people to assist us in the Vineyard Department. Working outside, Monday – Thursday, 40-45 hours per week. Your tasks will include pruning vineyards, trellis maintenance, establishing vineyards, harvesting and learning the overall development and maintenance of roughly 75 acres of Vines.

Knowledge of tractors and general maintenance of irrigation Is a Plus. You will be assisting in the repair and maintenance of the farm’s tractors, mower, harvester, pruner, etc.

This is a rare opportunity to increase and hone your knowledge in Viticulture and agriculture while having the support of a Winery that has been in place for over 40 years.

You will be working outside in the vineyards as well as necessary maintenance of vineyards (mowing, etc.). You will need to have good people skills, be a hard worker and look forward to learning more about viticulture and agriculture at the same time.

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong work ethic
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to communicate and have basic reading & writing, in English, be smartphone savvy.
• Basic math abilities and basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Trello and email
• Must be able to work extended hours during August and September for harvest as necessary – typically not longer than a 2-week window
• Mechanical aptitude - upkeep of equipment
• Previous tractor experience a Plus

Not Required but a PLUS:

• Experience in vineyard or farming operations
• An appreciation for wine
• Forklift certification a plus
